There is a strike being talked about across this country for October 1, 2026. Whatever your position on it, understand this: we do not stand apart from each other. When one truck stops, every one of us feels it. This is a day the National Association for Trucking Professionals will recognize, and a day we will support.

Where we stand

Some of you are not in a position to park your truck. You have a note due, a family counting on you, a contract you cannot walk away from. Nobody in this association will look down on you for that. Some of you believe the timing is wrong, or that it is not organized well enough yet. That is a fair thing to say out loud, and we will say it out loud with you. But none of that changes the one thing that holds true: we stand in unity. You do not have to shut your truck down to stand with the people who do. Whatever we can do to support, we are going to support.

What support looks like

Support is not one thing. It is water handed through a truck window. It is lunches made at a kitchen table and carried out to a lot. It is a jump start, a tire, a ride, a phone charger. It is checking on the driver parked three spaces down who nobody has spoken to in two days. It is telling the truth about what is happening out there so it cannot be brushed off as noise. We need ideas and we need people ready. If you can do something — anything — put your name down so we know who is where and what we can count on.
